YEAH SO I LIKE KNEW IT!!!theyre so slow , like come on the sunglasses that she wears all the time..DAAAHH!!!and oh Shar that ws not cool, not cool at all couldnt it be David i mean shar had done everything everything to protect Avalon...uuuuhhh im hating life now ,and poor Tam hes broken down now..why does someone always have to die ,id like just once just once for all of them to meet at the end of their paths ..life sucks...esp fpor Tamani ,laurel why cant she see how much hes done and how much he cares ,FRUSTRATING..IM STILL ROOTING FOR YOU TAMANI,ALWAYS AND FOREVER This book could have been a lot shorter if Aprilynne Pike hadn't waist so much pages at her love relationships. That's what's going trough my head after finishing Illusions. Everyone who reads this serie just have to admit that it's more about who Laurel is going to choose than the trolls and finding out what Klea wants. There's no single chapter where Laurel doesn't think about who she wants the most. And I get that it is hard to choose when you're in love with the two of them, but I hate it when girls are kissing both. That's exactly what she does. (spoiler) So I was glad when she finally broke up and stopped playing with David. The playing with Tamani ,however, just goes on. Until the end. Meanwhile she still gots feelings for David but she doesn't kiss him and the the other day Tamani. That was an improvement. On the other hand, she doesn't tell David that it's over, for good. So she let him run after her, while she is kissing Tamani. And I'm thinking that that is even worse. (spoiler\)What I like better in Illusions than in Spells is the triangular relationship between Tamani, Laurel and David. It's stronger. I can finally feel that she's in love with both guys and is not just messing around with Tamani while having true love with David. Now there's real love between her and Tamani, I'm not sure anymore or I want her to be with David or Tamani. However, the love drama in this book is getting too much. Laurel has been with David for two and a half books and probably will end up with Tamani. Meanwhile she will be sad while choosing and happy while having the best of both boys but there are other things in this book who matters. Like Klea and Yuki. Yuki is a new student at school, who is living with Klea. (Or who's supposed to live with Klea cause Klea is never home.) It's no secret that Yuki is a fairie. Meanwhile Laurel is trying to choose, they are trying to get to know which fairie Yuki is. Eventually they find out, at the end of the book. But they would have find out sooner if tehy all hadn't be so obsessed with love. This serie could have been a lot better. Less love, more trying to safe the fairie world. I hope it will be like that in the last book. The parts about Yuki and Klea are more interesting because you get know more about the fairie world and the fairies itself. The love traingle, on the other hand, just stays the same. Tamani or David? Will she ever decide?
Do You like book Elfenbann (2012)?
I decided to read this book because I have read the first and second series. Laurel is the main character and is also a faerie last year she had to chose between her life in avalon with tamani or with david in her ordinary life. She decided to carry on with her usual life with david and asks tamani leave. She had not seen her usual guardian, Tamani, since sending him away. When he appeared at Laurel's school posing as a transfer student from Scotland, she wad both surprised and relieved. But Tamani is not the only new student at Del Norte High School, and Laurel soon discovered that Yuki, a Japanese exchange student, is also a faerie under the guardianship of Klea, a troll-hunter who had helped Laurel in the past. Laurel had to find out what was going on.

Illusions was an okay book. This book continued the love triangle and kept the focus there for most of the book. The action seemed like it was over and was replaced with drama, figures right? Then as I get close to the end action pops up everywhere. The trolls are back with a fairy for their leader and they realize the unknown fairy was a winter fairy (the most powerful type of fairy.) Laurel is finally with Tamani and David is in the shadows of her life as a friend. She finally has chosen but she still is upset because David is upset. A lot of the action in this book was good and it left a perfect entrance for Destined.
