To be honest, I was quite disappointed in this book.Earthbound was exceptionally captivating and alluring, due to the events and the people. Especially Quinn, of course. The fact that Tavia's unconscious memories allowed Quinn to appear and the memories of Rebecca and Quinn made the book really... otherworldly.I guess I was looking for a more fantasy type of book, that's why I liked Earthbound better than Earthquake. Whilst Earthbound had more elements of fantasy, Earthquake had a lot of science stuff. And science... well...I was also disappointed that she actually chose Benson over Logan. Change is good, but how could she choose someone over her diligo? It kind of infuriated me how she was yearning for Benson so much one moment and the next she cuddles and feels the extreme love for Quinn. And then the next she feels like loving Quinn and wrong and she kisses Benson.Well, that really feels messed up to me tbh. It feels like she's playing both of them and I really don't like it... I guess I just prefer Logan more than Benson, but I have to admit Benson's real cute too hoho.I actually could've finished the book in less than a day, but this book took me around 4-5 days because I was just like 'nah, not yet' every single time I picked it up. I dropped it lots of times while I was in the middle and even debated to stop reading it because it just didn't give me the thrills, but I finished it because it's Aprilynne Pike.Just my opinion, though. The stakes get even higher, and not just for the safety of Tavia and her eternal lover Logan. Or even Benson, who I knew wouldn't stay out of the picture long. How could he with that love triangles relationship issues?! But the virus is spreading faster, and earth bounds are being killed by the Reducteria. The Curatoria isn't too be fully trusted either. At the edge of it all is Tavia, goddess reborn, with the secret to the cure and the best hope to saving human life, and the world.
