About book Désarmement, Tome 1 : Désarmement (2000)
I wasn't sure what I'd think of this short story. A couple of pages in and I was hooked. I immediately fell for Henry, the hero getting set to go off to war. And I felt for the heroine, who had already lost a brother to the same conflict. The author sucked me right into this sexy, heart-rending story. The only reason it's not sitting at 5 stars for me is that I wanted to see more, craved some sort of resolution. But I am so eager to see what happens to Henry. I am an Army brat and completely related to this story. I thought the sexiness was great, the storyline compelling and the characters were nicely developed. I'm not a fan of series ... books 1,2,3,4 etc especially when they are short. I'm even less of a fan of cliffhangers as there have been a slew of them lately. I will read the next in this series and quite possibly the "boxed set". 3.5-4 stars!
