I found this through my online library app and had time to kill, but didn't want to sink into a cheesy romance. I can't stand them; I feel like once you've read one, you've read them all. This one was about 50-ish digital pages, and just perfect to get a quick reading fix. It pushes you right into the middle of the story and back builds the world as needed. No filler or fluff. If I have time, I'm checking out the rest of them. I never say that about romance. Despite not being terribly impressed, I was still drawn to the characters enough to buy and read all of the novellas in quick secession. (Except I cheated and skipped The Henry Sessions.) I just couldn't stop reading. So not really quite so bad after all.Minor things bothered me, like I wouldn't have minded a bit more build up to the big moment with more tension in beginning. In some way though it's made up for later. Also the timeline goes by really quickly and only a handful of words indicate the passing of time. It was different than I'm used to reading, but in some ways the minimalist aspects of that work. It's too bad they weren't offered in one book for one price as they are certainly short enough to be sold together, in my humble opinion.
