Wow. I really love it when a sequel is just as good or even better than the first book and Mary Calmes succeeded here. Stef and Rand are back and it's lovely to come home to them. Knowing the writing is going to be fabulous, that Stef will still be snarky and funny. That Rand will be so hotly possessive that you just want to scream. And that the sex is going to be way hot and over the top.Everyone should have the love that these two men share. It's inspiring. It really is. This picks up 2 years after the end of Timing (which I read for my SS this round :)) Rand and Stefan have settled into life on the Ranch. Most people are accepting of their life, but some are not and it has caused some changes for the Ranch. Rand and Stef, however, have overcome them in their own way. When it becomes apparent that some of Rand's family is trying to cheat him out of his land, Stef takes it upon himself to make sure that does not happen. This book shows the love between Rand and Stef despite everyone else. Most of the angst is from outside with the extended family. That is resolved, not a HEA for the family but still one for Rand and Stef.Update after re-readSo this was a re-read for me. This is the third time I read this book and I loved it just as much as the first time. It isn't perfect, but it is a great comfort read for me. I love how Stef shines on his own in this one away from Rand.
