About book Divorced, Desperate And Deceived (2009)
Okay so I absolutely loved the first two because I could see the characters develop but unfortunately it felt like this book was more about Joey (the supposed bad guy who is actually good) than our hunky Plumber and Kathy. There was just too much action sequence going on and less about what happened in the lives of Luke and Kathy. I mean there were a few details randomly thrown in but everything else just magically happened. Like how Kathy magically got over her past and How Luke MAGICALLY fell for Kathy without really knowing who she really is and what's she about. A lil disappointed but I'm hoping to read more books by Craig :) I enjoyed this one, in the past books the hero a plumber has been dancing around the heroine, who wants her but has been burned badly by her ex(even her friends don't know how bad since he left her for a woman twice his age), she also has childhood scars because of what happened to her dad, but she's one of those people who bottles things up.The hero as it turns out isn't who he says he is, he's an FBI agent who has been in WITSEC since he needs to testify and when the heroine is finally ready to make a move on him, he isn't, he needs to leave. But things don't go as planned, they get hot & heavy & then there are bullets and they have to run with the heroine really angry and asks him to start spilling & he does. This book was a like a mad-caper, with a bad guy with a heart of gold who is really trying to help them, Kathy's friends and their husbands and a dog who joins the gang.It was kind of fun & I loved that the hero was celibate.
