WOW!! I finally figured out how to hide my review, (due to spoilers, this is your warning;) on my GoodReads app.ACHIEVEMENT!!!! :DAs Emily and all her buddies search for the Cielis Amulet council, something seems amiss when the used-to be busy streets are empty, (we could have added tumbleweeds for extra affect), and all the townspeople are fear stricken and kick them out, (also possibly because some of Emily's friend are animal-like people who can speak.)Emily is also swept off to compete on a spot of the 'new council', but attempts to help her fellow Stonekeeper friends escape so they all can live. The only person who can help them escape is Max, (which I got really confused at cuz they were calling him both Max and Griffin.) Everyone else seems to hate Max, and would love to kill him, but Emily stops them and convinces them to trust him.Turns out Max is a butt, and was leading Emily to the 'Mother Stone' of all the other stones, because in order to access that room he needed another Stonekeeper to help him.All the other people were made by Max, (based off of real people). :/So basically he made people, to beat him up. -_-Then he took the mother stone and fled somewhere, to be evil and stuff. That other guy, (the old one, kind of forgot his name...) I think that his son who died might be Max. Might. Probably not. 0-0So, I have the 5th book sitting out right infront of me, I'll read it now and figure out if my hunch is right!! The manga book the last council is the fourth book in the series the Amulet by Kazu Kibuishi. It is about a girl called Emily who is a stone keeper, she goes to cielis only to find strange things there.The illustrations in this book are very good. The people look the same throughout, however some of the backdrops were drawn very in detailed. Though it did bit take away from anything in the book. There was always enough space for speech and the layout was very easy to read.As this is the fourth book of the series I didn't quite understand everything that was going in. I think for this series it is essential to read the books prior this one. Overall I think it was an excellent book, very well animated and has an interesting twist towards the end. I would definitely recommend this to others however I strongly advise reading books 1,2,3.
