Kibuishi keeps up the awesome. This entry is basically one giant running battle, with crazy airships, mechs carried by airships, and hideous demons freed from their mountain tombs and handed an Amulet. We get some more teeth in the meaty part of the story involving the Guardian Council and that creepy kid and some insights on the, yes, you guessed it, the prince of the elves. And Emily starts some serious shit with her Amulet. Good stuff! Man I just love this series so much!this volume was a bit confusing as I had to keep rereading bits to understand it better but overall it adds quite a bit to the story. I enjoyed getting more background stories of a couple of characters as well as being introduced to more characters. I loved the added magic elements in each volume concerning the amulets and find this world really interesting. This is probably my least liked volume so far as it was a bit muddled up in my opinion but I still enjoyed what it has added to the series as a whole. Even though I didn't fully enjoy the story, the illustrations really made up for that lacking of storyline as they were absolutely incredible as always.I need volume 6 now... will definitely be getting a copy once it is released 4 Stars!
By creepy kid did you mean Max?Just wondering on that ,but otherwise nicely put.
