I loved Angelfire. It's the best trilogy to ever exist. EVAR! If you think the first book is good, you need to read the other two. Really, you should go get the other two. When I finished reading the first book I thought that it couldn't get any better then that. Normally the first books are better in a trilogy. But not in this case. Angelfire is amazing.I have read a lot of novels containing supernatural/paranormal situations and they all seem to have a lot things in common at the start. These things include:the story's always told from the girls point of view (or most of the story)girl normally has a best friendsometimes the girl's newalways a new guy (normally a hot guy)The guy or the girl (or both) are bullied and don't fit inThe new guy is strange and sometimes seems to stalk the girlusually girl has been experiencing things out of ordinary (most common is nightmares) or something major has happened recently (or both)Boy is somehow related with the problem(s)girl falls for boya love triangle normally manages to fir in somewhereAnd even though Angelfire is very similar to a lot of books I've read, somehow it's millions of times better than any other than any. Maybe it's the way it's written, maybe My favorite character is (Cadan fans don't hate on me) Will. At first he comes off shy and doesn't seem to enjoy people's company, but as the story progresses, he seems to grow more confident and protective over Ellie. I feel I can understand and relate to Will easilyA good thing about the book is that there's not one dull moment. Something always seems to be going on. I read someone else's review for the third book saying that it there was too much running around they're either hurrying to do this or get that before the demonic reapers. But there's also a lot of things that happen, in between or along, the way to somethingIt's been around a year since I finished the series and I still can't get it out of my head. I'm still living to see the day I find a better book. But judging by how good this book is, I doubt it will ever come. I'm sad it's ended :( Courtney, you must make another book like that. My life depends on it. Recommended [return][return]Shadows in the Silence is the third book in the Angelfire trilogy. Ellie manages to save Will’s life, with Cadan’s help. Ellie has suffered some major losses in terms of her family and her friends. She realizes that she can no longer live the life of a normal teenage girl. It is up to her and Will to gather enough angelic forces to fight at Armageddon in order to save humanity. Ellie believes that humanity is worth saving and will even sacrifice her own life to do it. Out of everything that exists in life, love, is worth fighting for.[return][return]Ellie and Will end up taking their relationship to the next level (after 500 years) and there is a sex scene, so I rated this book for high school students. The language tends to be more appropriate for high school as well. There are some violent fighting scenes that may not be appropriate for younger readers.[return][return]Like the other two books in the series, it is a must read if you have started the trilogy. It is a fast paced adventure, in which the story is wrapped up in a fight between good and evil. Readers will be hoping that Will and Ellie are able to stay together as it took three books for them to finally acknowledge their love for each other. I think the ending will be satisfactory to most readers.[return][return]I think this is a good buy for school libraries that have readers who enjoy urban fantasy, paranormal action/adventure/romance. I would definitely buy the three books together, so that students would be able to finish the trilogy. I would put this book on a paranormal or angel themed book display. This series is unique because we live in the area that is the setting in the story. Readers in my school will be able to identify with a lot of places in the books. Overall, I really enjoyed these books and I will be recommending them to students in my library. I’m glad I chose to review them.
