Finally I've managed to start a series on book 1 and not half way through a series as I normally do!! And what a book to start on. What do big, boisterous and uber male brothers and dad, two, count em two, hunky shifter males, snarky heroine trying to be more ladylike and dark,sarcastic humour make? A fracking excellent read.Naomi, wants a nice human husband - no shifters. A nice sedate normal life. She’s a delicate freakin’ flower and she's fed up with waiting for her family to realise this. When she clashes with 2 super sexy male shifters who have transferred to her favourite lacrosse team, she realises that her mate is one of them!!!!!Evan is nothing but a big teddy bear. He talks his best friend, Javier, a jaguar shifter into helping him win over Naomi and serial playboy Javier discovers that he is also her mate!Dont normally like ménage stories, they can sometimes get a bit too much for little ole me but I loved this. It's probable due to the extremely well developed characters and the stonking humour. I love my erotica/romance with a heavy dose of fun!!!!! There was a great mix of characters as background, who from reading over future titles all get their own books!!! There is a brilliant whodunnit storyline to go with the romance and overall its a great paranormal read. I'm slowly making a dent in Ms Langlais back catalogue and sincerely hope I get lots of book tokens for Xmas!!!!! This is a new author for me despite her having a number of books out. I have to say that this is a great introduction. Shifters, check, a big rowdy family, check, two hunky shifter males, check, humour, check, ménage, big check.The lead female in the story, Naomi, has a whole host of rowdy brothers leading her to come to the realisation that she wants a nice human husband. No way in hell does she want a shifter mate, besides she’s a delicate freakin’ flower and needs to be treated as such or else she’ll kick their asses (yup delicate my….). You can imagine her dismay when she clashes eyes with her mate at none other than at a violent shifter game of lacrosse, and to top it all he is one of the players.May I point out at this point that Evan is nothing but a big teddy bear, literally. His best friend Javier, who also happens to be his best friend and a jaguar shifter accompanies him on his mission to win her over and horror of horrors, for both womaniser Javier and Naomi, discovers that he is also her mate!Now I am not one for ménage stories, however, I’m not sure why, I liked this. There was a great mix of building the characters as well as the relationships before a ménage was thrown into the mix. Boy and what ménages they were, yup they! It is a great mix of sexy, who done it, humour and relationship making it a great paranormal read.Please note I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
