Imagine a cat who seems to have magical powers. Now add another cat who also has magical powers and you have a thoroughly enjoyable, giggle out loud story. This is the 3rd book in Sofie Kelly's Magical Cats Mystery and I, for 1 am really looking forward to more. Sofie writes about everyday, normal people, people who may also be a bit eccentric. However, receiving the complimentary copy did not influence my review. It's raining buckets in Mayville Heights. There's water in the basements and librarian, Kathleen Paulson, can't open the library because all the streets are flooded. While she waits for the water to recede, she helps her friends at the artist co-op move their art work to the safety of the upstairs studio. Checking to see how high the water is in the basement, she finds the body of one of the artists floating in the water. But that's not the only body Kathleen has found. When she goes to Wisteria Hill to feed the feral cats, the saturated bank gives way revealing a skeleton. I've come to enjoy the characters in the Magical Cats series. Easy to read, well plotted, interesting storyline. And, the Magical Cats, Hercules and Owen, aren't too out in left field -- in other words, they aren't obnoxious ... just very talented cats who act like cats ... who help solve crimes!
