About book Colin Fischer (2012)

"Colin Fischer", by Ashley Edward Miller is a truly heart warming book. Colin Fischer is not like everyone else, he has a... 'condition'. That doesn`t stop Colin from chasing his dreams to become a world-famous detective! When a gun goes off in the cafeteria, Colin knows that this is his one and only chance to be seen, his only chance to follow his dream. This is too easy... there has to be SOME sort of a catch! There are plenty. You see, because of Colin`s 'condition', he is not the most popular person at school. This causes him many problems, including dealing with the roughest, toughest kid in school, Wayne Connelly. Not only does Colin have to 'deal' with Wayne, he has to prove he is innocent! You see, his condition does not allow him to interpret anything besides literal. So, when he realizes that Wayne doesn`t have any white frosting on his hands, he knows he is not the culprit because there was white frosting found on the grip of the gun! This may be more difficult than Colin expected...I rate this book 4/5 stars because it was an amazing book, but it just wasnt a 'thrill-seeking adventure' type book that I am used to. I would recommend this book to anyone of any age who enjoys realistic fiction. It was good, but not great. The footnotes, while interesting, became a bit tiresome after awhile, and none of the information is something I will be remembering. I liked the use of emotions in the book, up to a point. But when they started happening when Colin wasn't even in the room or present to view them, I didn't see the point.I'm glad it didn't focus too much on the romance side of things, which I was afraid it would linger on for too long, but there was a nice balance between that and the case.I liked the notebook entries, but I missed Colin's voice right after them. It felt the book should have been told from his point of view.

Do You like book Colin Fischer (2012)?

This book was pretty good. I felt like it left a lot of the before story out. Otherwise it was good.
