This book intrigued me but I think if u had any inclination of its outcome it would wane. I read it in a day I just wanted to know what happened. Interestingly though it was out of curiosity not out of concern for any of the characters. I didn't really like any of them and to be honest felt they were as bad as each other. Saying that this book did hook me and I had to keep reading. Maybe two and a half stars This book is hugely popular in Scandinavia? Really? Huh. I'd have thought they'd have better taste. I don't know if it's the translation or the writing itself, but this book annoyed me. The writing was bad. It was just kind of .... bad. The way it was set up was weird. The ending made me super angry and frustrated. Really, a whole lot of nothing happens. It's the kind of book that seems action-packed on the surface, but then you finish it and it's like "uh, what was that? Did anything really happen in that book? Did anything in there really matter?" and the answer is no. And then you're disappointed and go cry in your pillow while still resolving to visit Sweden someday because Sweden is awesome. That is all.
