I liked 'The Dark Elite', I really did. The writing was good, light, I didn't have to force myself to keep reading because the story was interesting enough. But I'm surprised with the way the story ends, because: what about Lily's parents? And what was that research about? And Jason? I mean, he's kinda supposed to marry a girl he don't even know because his parents say so. And what about Sebastian? What happens to him? This may be the end but there's no real closure, so perhaps it'll be a good idea to write one more book. After reading Firespell and Hexbound, the first two books in the Dark Elite series, I couldn’t wait to get the third book. I loved both of the first two books and when I got the package with the third book in it I admit I was doing a happy dance. And then I opened the package and I found out that the third book was larger than the first two books. So now when they are next to each other, the third book stands out. They aren’t the same size. I hate it when that happens. Anyway, I still read the book:Lily is still a fun character. I love the friendship she has with her best friend Scout. Their dialogue is the best. When they talk, they talk how in real life best friends would talk. Loved it and very relatable. When I read Hexbound I thought there might be a love triangle in the third book, but I was wrong. No love triangle, actually almost no love at all. The romance was gone and I kind of didn’t like that. I liked Jason a lot, super cute and all that jazz, but in Charmfall he wasn’t a lot in the picture and a bit grumpy. The plot is nice. I liked it, but there wasn’t a lot going on. It could have used a lot more action. I’m glad to find out that Charmfall isn’t the last book in the series. I would be disappointed if it was. So, now I’m looking forward to the fourth book and I hope that it’s going to be better than Charmfall.
