The first third of this book was good but not stellar. Once it took off, however, WOW! This is one of the most romantic, angsty, passionate m/m stories I have read. Logan and Nate's love scenes were unbelievably hot. Their first time together spanned more than two chapters, and it was intense, erotic, and simply beautiful. Oh, how I love a good cop/P.I. read. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. The mystery aspect of the book was also well done.My only complaint is that there are no more stories in this series. Guess I'll just have to check out some of Dane's other books. I certainly plan to read more by this author! From the very first of the book we realize how overprotective Logan can be in the way he is trying to save Nate when he first meets him all because of the bruises on his body. Poor Nate is so infatuated with Logan I thought them working together would just be extremely complicated, and it was anything but. Nate can somehow cope with it and very well. As far as Logans five rules, lol, rules schmules! Should have known that Nate would tear those all apart. Loved these two together.
