This was okay. I don't know, its like I say that with all the other volumes. Its not that I don't like the series. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to. But then as I thought, eh why not give it a chance, I found there's moments to like, moments that it a little weird and awkward. Good balance there. 3 stars means I kind of liked it but at the same thought it was okay. But I didn't think it was bad or anything. 'Misao is the bride of prophecy whose blood gives power to the demon who claims her. But most demons want to keep her power for themselves - by eating her! Now Misao is just trying to stay alive...'In this volume, things got a lot more interesting. Even though I disliked the Sho storyline last volume, this volume focused on it a lot more and I found myself enjoying it.We learnt a lot more about the characters of Zenki and Hoki in this volume, which I loved. The last time we really learnt about any of the Daitengu's backstories was back when Sagami was covered, so it's been a while. I loved finding out about the hidden depths of these two characters, especially since they haven't had as much 'screen' time as Sagami has had. I'd love to learn more about Buzen too, but perhaps in a later volume. Hoki's backstory surprised me a lot, and Zenki's was just so cool! I hope that there are not huge repercussions on either of them for the events of this volume.This volume has renewed my faith in this story. I loved the plot line, it was fast paced and Kyo and Misao continue to be sweet and loving. I've noticed I tend to enjoy volumes that focus on side characters a little bit more, but oh well. ^^;Also, a note on the art. Some of the expressions in this volume were rendered so well. Some of the panels were beautiful. Even though I've disliked a couple of the scenes in this whole series, I've always loved the art. It's just so stunning, and art is almost as important as story in manga (at least, I think so). :)We ended on a cliffhanger again, too. And it's actually a rather worrying one so I'm very glad I have the next volume to read!
