Eve Langlais has a comedic and sexy way of writing. Her books are quick reads, but are very addictive and pretty well developed. She writes love stories that have less courting and more fate involved, but always a conflict that brings her lovers closer together.This book is a little darker than the first in the fact that the main female character Bailey is tortured, and there is actually a fight that ends in heartbreak for our heroes. The only thing I wasn't happy with is the fact that the character development wasn't as progressive as in the first. I also thought it was hilarious. The conflict in this book was also well thought out and quite complicated, but helped really tie the other books in the series together even when there were different main characters in each. Clearly it has gone into more detail than the first and our heroes are a bit closer to obtaining victory. The second book in the Pack series by Eve Langlais was a nice read. The author writes great paranormal romance books and I love the balance between adventure and romance but, although I really liked the plot I was kind of sad with the end of the story (and no, I am not going to say what happens!).Bailey is the main female character. I can’t say that I liked her a lot. She is very insecure and many times I really wanted to slap her! I am not saying that she is a bad person but I don’t think that she had the right attitude for the whole situation.As for the main male characters? These are Gavin, Parker, Wyatt and Jaxon and I liked them a lot except one thing: I didn’t like at all the way Gavin, Parker and Wyatt were like a part of a team and as a result Jaxon wasn’t belonging with them. Also, I didn’t like Jaxon’s ending! It was totally unfair for him!What I liked most in the book? Of course, the love scenes!It was a nice read and I am sure that all the fans of this genre will find it interesting!
