About book Assassin's Apprentice / Royal Assassin (Farseer Trilogy, #1-2) (2000)

Ok so I started this and to be truthful it drags out, thankfully I speed read so can ignore some content. But the plot was fascinating. The skill, the wit! And I found myself thinking about the forged ones for days. A book that makes you want to buy the next and haunts your mind for a few days definitely deserves 5 stars. But then I Mae the mistake of getting book 3.... I have no words for the fail. Seriously just makes all that time spent reading 1 and 2 so wasteful! Do I want you to read this? Yes!!! but do I want you to finish it... Most definitely NO!!! My advise pretend you are the author and invent your own worthwhile ending! Will add to this review in time, but for now... Amazing world building, and very well built characters, even the evil plotting prince and all his nasty intriguing. I loved the idea behind a bastard of royalty becoming an assassin to the KIng. However, some parts of the story felt a bit slow, or unexplained, or both. The very chilling Forging business, for example, seemed to be left hanging a little, same as all the Red-ship raiders. Possibly because this is a trilogy and I need to read the next part? I intend to do that soon...

Just not a great series. Last resort if you've ran out of other things to read.
