Charming, again and a carry-on from the last book. I have to say that I love the way the characters speak, whether or not it's genuine, it's charming. The story continues with Barry still worrying about whether Patricia will come back or not. Fingal is recreating his relationship with Kitty and that seems to be going well. Barry tends to young Colin's ringworm but it's puzzling that the outbreak at the school continues to be troubling. Definitely work for detective doctors. There's also skullduggery afoot with Mr Bishop and a horse. Seems he's taking his employees for a bit of a ride with the purchase shares of a race horse with his eagerness to include them, but seemingly not in the profit. His evil plan is sure to fail with the help of the doctors. This really is a charming series. If you've ever lived in a small town, you'll recognize most of the characters. This is the 4th or 5th book in a series. I love them! They are well written but it is more about the lovely story this author tells. Just how a country physician is, not only in the business of healing bodies, but helping his patients through other difficulties in life. They are not profound, exciting, riveting etc. But, they are wonderful just because. Patrick Taylor is a male Maeve Binchy. I thoroughly enjoyed reading these and will feel sad when I am finished with the series.
Do You like book An Irish Country Courtship (2010)?
I can't say enough about the "Irish Country" series. I hope Mr. Taylor can write more. Fast.
