Things get a little bit darker for new Stonekeeper Emily and her brother. We're told who and what the Elf King and his ilk are and Emily is told of some very big dangers associated with the amulet and the title of Stonekeeper. New allies are met, I'm a fan of Leon, and Navin finds himself with a lot of responsibly as well. As many successes as the group has, you can't help but know that the worst is yet to come. This was a great second volume to this series! It was action packed from the beginning and really got me rooting for the characters as they battled. The fantasy aspect was great and so simple which i really liked since i don't read a lot of fantasy.I loved the growth of Emily and Navin and how they are starting to discover who they are and who they want to be. Also i'm so curious to see where the story goes next as other characters start coming into the mix. Again i love the illustrations as they fit so well with the story. I loved this volume so much and can't wait to read the next one. 5 Stars!
