About book Amoureuse Et Un Peu Plus (2014)

This story contains my all-time favorite theme which is reunion romances. I always love that the characters have a history that didn't work, and the twist in this one is so great. The cast of secondary characters are so real, you feel like you've met them at some point in your life. Learning a bit about mid-western farmers resonated because my grandparents were soybean farmers in Missouri before moving to California in the 1940s. Wonderfully emotional read. It pains me to say how much I disliked this one. I've been a long time fan of Morsi, and she rarely disappoints. I read this quickly, but as other readers have said, it feels like the end was missing. Just a giant, huge chunk of end. Many of the chapters seemed disjointed and ended abruptly. Although I liked the main characters, the side characters were hazily drawn. The town villain had NO motivation, or at least none we ever learned of.The side plot of the hero's mother troubled me DEEPLY. As someone who has a recently widowed mother as well, I understand the thoughts and emotions that happen. However, the mother's "idea" for what she wanted to do, and how it just ENDED seemed unrealistic. Therapy was clearly needed! I also felt she was selfish and basically dognapped the heroine's dog. And endangered the dog's life on many occasions. And I'm supposed to feel empathy for this peson?I read it quickly, but instead of a a warm fuzzy, I had acid reflux.

Do You like book Amoureuse Et Un Peu Plus (2014)?

I can't choose between a 3 and a 4. I actually liked this book more than I thought and I had a lot of fun reading it. The two characters were interesting and the storyline was approachable. Two specific reasons I think I enjoyed this:1) One of my friends is a librarian2) I recently read, The Thing About Luck, which was also set during the harvesting in Kansas. It was fun to read more about combines and grain trailers. Without those things, I think the book would have been a solid 3 stars. This is classic chick-lit with some misunderstandings and a tiny bit of cheesiness. But it wasn't too silly. I'm so glad I cam across this ebook on the library website (where else?).

The book was okay but the ending was horrible. The characters end up at a place where they should have a huge talk about things that they have kept from one another and the author skips over that and goes to the happily ever after. We all know that it is going to end happy it is a romance, that is how they are suppose to end. I would not advise reading this book. The writing was only fair and the plot was dull. The female character was weak and you just wanted to scream at her most of the book.
