I struggled between a 2 and a 3. I liked the characters from the first book and wanted to know more about them. However, the whole spell coding, gaming stuff was just dumb and there was way too much of it. I'm a big paranormal and fantasy fan, but even I can only suspend my disbelief so much. It really detracted from the story and was just tedious and silly. I'll give #3 a shot, but I hope it's better. I have a serious case of the 'It's not you it's me' s with this book. A group of witches, beautiful family, very tight knit. They have a few people 'in' their group that are 'non magical' and treated with pity. Anyone that they don't percieve to have magical talents are basicly magically retarted in their eyes. Being set apart because you are different (or not different?) is a sore subject for me. I won't rate this book but I can't finnish it either. Yes, I am being too sensitive but there are too many other books to enjoy. Happy Reading.
