Si uno ha leído testimonios y crónicas sobre la Dictadura en Chile (O en cualquier otro lado) lo narrado acá resulta altamente similar: Desaparciciones forzosas, terrorismo de estado,votaciones amañadas y fosas secretas para ocultar las torturas, las golpizas, las ejecuciones, pero por sobretodo, para ocultar a los culpables.Me gustó la idea de crear una obra de ficción con esta base, porque a pesar de ser la historia de la desesperada búsqueda de Mehdi, termina siendo de muchas personas que han pasado por lo mismo.Y este libro logró, además, algo muy díficil: Ahora odio menos a Coelho. A graphic novel about the world (specifically Iranian stolen elections and repression of peaceful protests) that does what this medium does best: depicts the horrors of our world in a way that is both honest and enables you to look at it without turning away. Each chapter is like a short story. Like good solo performance, too, the characters give you unexpected insights into the secret hearts and minds of the Iranian people.
