Okay I'm gonna start with Gideon because we have a seriously love/hate relationship.What is he doing?! He's in love with Gwyneth and even tells her, but he pretends he was lying! That's so cruel to both of them! That's what I really hated about him. But I love him too. he's beautiful and mostly a pretty decent guy. I can totally imagine him in 18th century clothes (which he can pull off really well!) and playing the violin....so beautiful. I the violin is an amazing instrument and as the book (I forgot who) mentioned, music is like that last step of love. Not always, obviously, but, come on! I honestly think if someone is really good at a musical instrument it makes them way more attractive...*cough*Gideon*cough*. Also his ability to read minds doesn't come in in this book. I really wanted it to. Also....woman in green dress....WHAT? Looking forward to her role, as in I'm looking forward to her death or however she gets out of Gideon's life!Gwyneth, it seems, has yet to put 2 and 2 together about the Count guy! She needs to open her eyes! He murdered people, there are rumors that he doesn't age/die, he threatened her...etc. Honestly why she let Gideon leave her with him by herself remains a mystery to me. Charlotte....what's going on between her and Gideon, I would like to know so that I have another reason to hate her. She is so annoying!!Love Lesley! oooh and I also see a budding romance between her and Raphael.The Green Rider....I'm pretty sure it has to do with an emerald. Also I don't know if anyone actually looked at the gem list and which time-traveler was what gem, but the Emerald belongs to the Count....hmmmm.The time travel sort of got confusing towards the end, mainly the whole "I am going to meet you yesterday in your future but my past"??? Mr. George is gonna have something important in the next book I think. Also we still don't know what the big secret is. What happens if they close the cirlce?I am really excited to read Emerald Green.Ich mag diese Bücher! Acuh sie sind ursprünglich en Deutsch.But it leaves you on a cliffhanger.....I'm dying for the third one!!!!Overall Awesome book!! Go read it if you haven't!! :D Once I remind myself to get over the immature writing, due to it being translated from German, I'm still left with a book with a frustrating plot. The cast of characters are supposedly members of a secret society who's sole purpose is to complete the "circle" in the time traveling chronograph, all having been a part of the society since they were young and yet the can't seem to wrap their head around the fact that events in their personal timelines are not happening in order. Gweneth, the main character, isn't very likable and can be pretty stupid a lot of the time. I suppose the author's intent was to somehow portray a typical teenager, but all she really succeeds in doing is creating a character that is laughable as a heroine. I detest books that have characters fall in love in a matter of days and yet supposedly Gideon, the male lead, goes from thinking Gwen an idiot to declaring his love for her in less than a week. What's worse than it potentially being the actual truth is Gwen believing it. The flow of the plot also doesn't make sense. Once again it feels like the plot could have fit into a single book but was spread out over 3 because it's the popular thing to do. The plot only picked up in the last third of the book, and did end much better than the previous book. Because of this, and my need for closure, I'll be reading the last book. I can only hope and pray it too doesn't drag it's feet getting to the point,
