About book You're A Horrible Person, But I Like You: The Believer Book Of Advice (2010)
I love advice columns, so this was a fun, light read. It dragged in parts (basically, the comedians whose humor I like less), but the ones that shone REALLY shone. It was actually really interesting to see who I liked on film or SNL, but not as a voice in the book (i.e., Fred Armisten!) If you like comedy and/or advice columns, and if you have about two hours to kill on a plane, this book is a pretty good selection. I tried! I promise you, I really did. By the looks of things I should love this book. Really! It has a ton of contributors I adore. I even enjoy snarky advice columns! But it just wasn't funny. It wouldn't be the worst thing ever if it was just unfunny, but it has no other redeeming qualities. The questions tried way too hard, and when they didn't, the comedians did. This is just one giant, boring, frustrating collection that never gets better.

Moderately amusing. The Lizz Winstead section was the only one that made me actually laugh.

This is the most hit-or-miss book I have ever read.
