The author must have a 4 year old. I love love love this manga and it's just about looking at the world through a child's eyes. In this volume Yotsuba attempts to create a schedule, gets a Teddy bear, and goes on a trip to see hot air balloons. I had a smile on my face reading the whole volume. I was excited to learn that there will be a 10th volume. For a while there was rumor that only 9 were written. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Yotsuba&!! This title consistently shows the joy and adventure of everyday life thru the eyes of a young girl with green hair. Getting a teddy bear, discovering coffee, and riding in a hot air balloon are equally fantastic when you're Yotsuba! The supporting cast of her father, his friends, and neighbors show off the wonderful writing by Mr. Azuma. And his artwork is more complex than most manga with backgrounds and scenery. The realistic plots benefit from this. Yotsuba&! can be very nostalgic and funny, but one must love slapstick/physical comedy.
