This is a review for the whole series. I read the first volume of Yotsuba a while ago and for some reason neglected to go back and read the rest. I regret this quite a lot, because this manga is just plain amazing. Yotsuba is a slice of life manga; it doesn't follow a definite plot, but rather the daily life of a 5-year-old girl by the name of Yotsuba. Her name is Japanese for "four-leaved clover", which explains why she always has her hair tied in four pigtails. Nobody knows where she comes from, and she always says that her daddy adopted her on an island that lies "to the left". Everything is new to her, and the way she handles every event is just too cute!I love Yotsuba's outlook towards life. She's always so cheerful and everything is a wonder to her, from simple things such as pizza to more complex things like hot air balloons. Every day is an adventure to this little girl, and she goes about them with such determination you'd think her life depended on them. Her antics are just way too funny, and so are her reactions and expressions; in fact, I've found myself actually laughing out loud on several occasions. Now that I'm out of chapters to read, the only thing left for me to do is find a Yotsuba figurine or a plushie and huggle it until the next chapter comes out! Oh, also, I had absolutely no idea the cardboard box character otherwise known as Danbo came from this manga! That was a pleasant surprise. =D Yeay! Yotsuba went camping! I sometimes think that the relationship between Yotsuba and Daddy some kind of... haha I can feel the love daddy gave to Yotsuba is really sweet.. the way he pat Yotsuba before she sleeps at night, Daddy spoiled her so much I think ^^but Yotsuba is so lovable person, that's why, no one can resist her charming and cuteness.... :)Yanda, too.. now he is trying to be kind to Yotsuba ^__^
