3.5 stars This book gave me an understanding as to why the wicked queen was the way she was. I loved reading and seeing that she wasn't evil and that she actually loved Snow White. It pulled on my heart strings to see the Queen go through struggles with herself because of what her father did to her. I liked that it still stayed true to the Snow White story and yet was able to end in a good note. Pros: It's fun to think about a traditional fairy tale from the villian's perspective. I liked the background of the relationship between the Queen and her father and especially enjoyed how the Magic Mirror came to be.Cons: I did not enjoy the writing style and felt it was awkward and amateur. I understand that the author wanted to provide character background and set-up the crux of the story, but the first half of the book was pretty boring. The plot didn't draw me in until the King died, which is right about the half way point. Fun idea, quick read, just okay. 2.5/5
The book made feel for the wicked queen but the ending was predicatable and even a lttle week.
