I read the book Fairest of all by Serena Valentino. I loved this book because I thought that it explained a lot about the reasons for Snow White's step mother to want to be fairest of all so much that she would kill her own step daughter. It also explained a lot about why Snow no longer had a father. When I was growing up Snow White was one of my favorite movies and this book was riviting with twists and turns after every page. I could not put this book down because it was so interesting and highly reccomend others to read this book. I have always loved twisted or fractured fairly tales, as well as alternative versions of some of my favorite stories. Fairest of All: A Tale of the Wicked Queen by Serena Valentino gives us the back story on Snow White's stepmother, the Wicked Queen. How did she come to be so vain and jealous of Snow White? From where did the Magic Mirror come? Fairest of All tells us how the Wicked Queen came to marry Snow's father and what their life was like at first. You will have to read the story to learn how that all began to change
This is probably the best book I have read in a very long time. Well worth the read!
