But she also knows it's for the best because her kisses are deadly to full Gargoyles like him. But when she meets Roth, a demon, who she is instantly attracted to as well. He knows her secrets, but doesn't give her away. He is a great temptation to her since she can't harm him when she kisses him. But, Roth is not fully good or fully bad. He's in the middle, so Layla has to be careful around him. Because what can you expect from a Demon? However, when a violet demon uprising happens, she has to step in and unleash who she is inside to combat it. With Roth and Zayne at her side, can she do it? Can she win?What a great book! I loved the love triangle between the three. It kept me guessing which one she'll pick. Personally I'm rooting for Roth. Gotta love the bad boys. But not only that, I loved the idea of Gargoyles being more than just hunks of stone on buildings. I also loved the idea that not all demons are bad sorta like Roth who is willing to protect her. I will definitely keep reading this series. Really liked this book. The plot played out very interestingly. The main character wasn't too whiney and too self-pitying even when she has all the reason to be. I love the ups and downs you have with some characters, especially Abbot. At least I did. There were some points when Layla describes how Godly the Wardens look and I'm siting here remembering that they're Gargoyles and I didn't think that was attractive. This was one of those moments when I would've preferred the whole angel thing but then again, no I wouldn't. Because the gargoyle bit was refreshing. What is an angel but a human with wings, right? Jk. Respect for the Angels. I guess the only thing I would change would be more jealous bits on the boys' parts. I'm a sucker for that. Cannot wait to read the next one now. I need to follow with this story. I'm excited to see Roth come back and what the new adventure is. I hope Layla goes all kickass when developing her powers. I hope Stacey and Sam get lovey dicey. You gotta respect the small scenes of i supernatural love blossoming.
