Sapphire “Saffi” March was the #1 fangirl of Staffan Aehrenthal, Sweden’s #1 Rock star and Sex God. She truly “loves” him for him and not his stardom. There is just something that she sees in him that seems like no one else can see. So she is a fan but for all different reasons. She gets a birthday call from him, which is one of the perks of the fan club members, and they have a great connection on the phone. Saffi March is the daughter of a Senator and has grown up to be the embarrassment of the family. So when weeks later, she gets a ticket to a concert, she needs to be someone different when she goes there, needs to be someone more like you see him with in the tabloids… and that is when the lies and the “fun” begins.Staffan knows who she is, thanks to Facebook, when he sends the tickets to her and planned to “hand select” her from the crowd to be able to spend the weekend with her. She pretends to be a “groupie” and acts nothing like herself, but yet he can still see her quirky self in some of the stories she comes up with. It warms his hear and during the weekend together, they fall for each other, but he has walls around his heart and she has to try to break those walls down. This story is well written. There are some “laugh out loud” moments when you hear how quirky Saffi can be. She studies fish and when she gets upset, some of the things she comes up with are funny. “Suffering Sardines” was one of the first things he remembers hearing her say on the phone. You can feel how sweet she is and funny and you can also feel how Staffan really likes her, but fights with himself because he has been hurt in the past.I enjoyed how the author tells the story from all different sides and she brings in some drama from the past for both characters. This story covers a lot for being only 192 pages. It seemed longer and had some “hot” steamy scenes. This is the first book I have read from this author, but won’t be my last. Miss Tee Does it Again!Marian Tee did it again with another "How Not to be Seduced" book. I thoroughly enjoyed her millionaires series, and the beginning of this rock star series did not disappoint. There was plenty of drama and some pretty juicy secrets, which have yet to all be revealed. I can't wait to read the next book to see what happens when the heroine's true identity and family are revealed. Will the lies prove to be too much? We'll soon find out!
Do You like book When Fangirls Lie (How (2013)?
