About half way through reading a novel, I can always tell when it’s going to be a five star read. I start deciding what I want to write in my review while I’m still reading. Now though, I’m sitting here and have no idea what to write. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy this read, because I did. It’s a fantastic way to sit and kill a few hours. The characters were just okay, not really that memorable, so I’m not sure what I can say about them. Overall, it’s a cute story. There are some humorous moments, some sexy moments, and some slightly suspenseful moments. I’m not dying to read book three in the series, but I will probably read it when I want something light and fluffy. The geeky professor meets his match and she's a human. Roarke went to Portland to discredit Abby's grandfather's story about seeing the most famous Bigfoot. While there Roarke doesn't just catch shifting into a werewolf, Abby is the one who catches him and blackmails him to take her on his hike in meeting the mated bigfoots so she could go back and tell her grandfather it was true. While on their little adventure things happen between them that make Roarke run literately run away. When he returns they find each other wanting each other more than before. Roarke keeps telling her that he doesn't want to have a human mate like his brother Aidan. When the pack master of the Portland clan kidnaps Abby and a fallow hiker, Roarke comes to her rescue like the big bad wolf his is. The story is totally clique with the bigfoot and it being in Oregon, but it works for this love story. Roarke and Abby made me want to find the local geeky professor and see if he's a wereworlf. Another great story from Vicki Lewis Thompson.
