Wow, this book had me captured from almost page one! I loved this book- it flowed smoothly, it involved danger, suspense, humor, and the attitude of teenagers who have been thrown into a situation far above their control. I loved Riph-Raph's sarcastic comments to Marcuss. Kyja's heartbreak at not being magical was so real and intense. And Marcuss' poor deformities actually made him stronger. I thought that was so cool! This book is definitely a "five-star book," and I can't wait to read the next one. A student recommended this to me and I wanted to get into it, but it just wasn't the right place or time for me but I can see the appeal for some. The story of a boy in a wheelchair who doesn't know his real parents and occasionally daydreams of a fantasy place called Farworld discovers that this world is real and in danger. And he may be the key to saving it! I personally found it a bit slow-moving.

This book was actually really good, a nice choice for teenagers and it's fast paced and interesting.

Slow start but it got better as it went along. I will probably read the rest of the series.
