This book was AMAZING. According to me, it was perfect. PERFECT. I don't know...Leven Thumps has been my favorite series for such along time...I can't stop. But, aside from those thoughts, I LOVED it because I liked the idea 'Magic is as common as air.' I also liked seeing someone(Kyja) expirencing Earth from their point of veiw for the first time. There was action, humor, and a really planned and neat plot.I am actually rating this a little late; I have read one and two. You can find my review for two on...Land keep. I am almost litterly going crazy not having the third. AMAZING!!! I ran across this book at BEA in New York this past June. I was even lucky enough to get an autographed copy. I finally sat down and over the past couple weeks read the book with my 6 and 8 year olds. What a wonderful book. My boys are known for wandering the room during reading time. They're listening but still restless. While reading "Far World" they stayed in their beds and just stared intently as I read the book each night. My oldest loved the suspense at the end of each chapter (as did I) and would always beg for "just one more." I highly recommend this to other families who engage in reading time with their young boys, as well as adults who are fans of both the Harry Potter and Percy Jackson series. Now off I go to buy "Land Keep."
