About book Was Mijn Zus Maar Niet Zo Mooi En Ik Wat Minder Slim (2000)
At the beginning I didn't like the character too much as I felt she was too down on herself and full of self-pity although she shouldn't have been. As the story developed and her life changed, she lightened up and I really liked her. Although some of her self-doubt came back I didn't mind it as much. The book was a fun read until a turn of events turned it more serious. Complex and very entertaining. I will definitely read this author again. Im so glad I picked up this book this month- Im in a similar re-evaluating career, etc spot in my life as Lindsey. This author is becoming one of my favorites in this genre. The story is so relatable- competition with a sibling, career drive, trying to discover what you really want to do in life, relationship runs and finding the right guy. It was funny and easy to read and not too sappy. I admit the part with a certain guy did annoy me, along with the job upset. This author has a perfect way of writing relatable characters for young women in a style that's easy and fun to read. The twists were interesting and I like where everyone ended up. I like that her stories are not overly predictable like other books in the genre.

Sometimes people don’t see the beauty in something when it doesn’t hit you right in the face..
