I'm done. I'm done with this series. JUST FUCKING TALK TO EACH OTHER! You're over a thousand years old and you're idiots whenever it's serves to move the plot forward. This book added nothing to the series outside of the first and last chapters it was just pointless overwrought blood bath after chin dripping blood bath. Just stop. This series has gone for slaughter the way Laurell K Hamilton went for group sex. You're adding nothing to the story line that was initially fascinating except that you're making me hate the characters I originally enjoyed. Although I have loved this series since its beginning, I was a little underwhelmed by this book. I liked it, don't misunderstand, I'm just qualifying that I didn't like it as much as the previous books. Nevertheless, everything I enjoy about this series was present. Mira is a fabulous character, with plenty of complexity to keep her interesting even five books in. And Danaus is as entertaining as ever. It's particular fun, now, viewing him from Mira's perspective once more after glimpsing his view in the last book. I suppose my big complaint about this book is the pacing ... I don't think there was a good flow all throughout. Now, having finished the book, I can only remember snippets and flashes. Thus, only three and a half stars from me.
