Wag Lang Di Makaraos is Eros S. Atalia’s latest work. It is a collection of a hundred daglis. A dagli is a form of literature in Filipino which is usually short and is written with depth, sarcasm, and satire.Eros Atalia’s initial plan was to have three hundred and sixty-five daglis, but he ended up having a hundred only, because it was really hard to write. He said that it took him years to finish this publication, as compared to his novels which took him three to four months to complete.The book has ten themes, namely: (1) KAMATAYAN, (2) SA DAKO PAROON, (3) MGA KWENTONG MALI, (4) DE KAHONG BILOG, (5) E, KASI, BATA, (6) SENIOR CITIZENS, (7) OKASYON, (8) TRABAHO LANG, (9) COMMERCIAL, and (10) MGA KWENTONG DI PAMBATA. Each theme has ten daglis, and these daglis revolved around the theme in which they belong to.Out of all the themes, I personally liked KAMATAYAN, DE KAHONG BILOG, SENIOR CITIZENS, OKASYON, and TRABAHO LANG.Wag Lang Di Makaraos is a light read, but is full of sense if you try to comprehend what each dagli is really about. Ito ang unang libro ni Atalia na nabasa ko. Hindi ko alam kung masyadong mataas ang expectation ko dahil napanood ko yung pelikula na Ligo Na U, Lapit Na Me na hango sa isa niya pang libro at isama na din yung mga naririnig ko tungkol sa mga likha niya. Gusto ko yung approach niya sa pagsusulat mga pahapyaw na biro at patama. Wala masyadong pretensions at hindi nagpapapigil. Madaming kwento ang nagustuhan ko yung ilan natawa ako, yung iba natakot, at yung iba napaisip. Pero may ilan na hindi ko nagustuhan o hindi pasado sa panlasa ko depende siguro sa taong nagbabasa.Maganda ang libro pwedeng basahin habang nasa MRT/LRT or sa bus pauwi. Wala masyadong kailangan isipin, pang enjoy lang kungbaga.
