What did I think? Tim O' Rourke’s books in this series just get better and better with each installment. Unpredictable my any means, I can’t say that I have ever predicted anything or any outcome in this series. I enjoy this much so.....Being surprised - non the less at times more than surprised. Shocked ... There are twists and turns, nonstop action, blood gore, romance, vivid details and kick arse characters that make this book memorable.I had a teary eyed moment in this story. Sorry no spoilers. I can’t say I liked this part. Defenitley didn’t see it coming, and was totally blown away! But as I said above, Tim's writing is unpredictable which makes every story a rollercoaster ride filled with all the turns, and curves one could and would want in a read. It’s filled with vivid details, emotions and descriptions down to a tee. Myself being the reader, I feel as though I’m watching through a looking glass while the show - story progresses and unfolds.The story is well balanced giving the reader a little bit of everything within the story. It certainly has my attention where I have sat down and read almost every single book in this series in one sitting. Cliff hanger - OM golly gosh - This one I was like WT!!! Where’s the rest.... I need more... So I went and grabbed the next installment as I just couldn’t wait... The suspense will have you on the edge of your seat, Tim's writing style will not only suck you in the world in which he has so cleverly created but have you mesmerized within the storyline.This story gave me a little action I was eagerly awaiting for.. All I can say is Potter is my favourite !!! ;) grins ! A must read series. I can’t recommend it highly enough :) I read this book when it came out in 2011 but didn't realise I hadn't done a review. Packed with all the twists and turns I just love this series, what with looking for Kayla and fleeing yet more of the turned bad Vampyrus they have alot on their plate. You have to read them fast to find out what happens and then when you get to the end it's like oooh now I've finished and I gotta wait for the next one if you've read them you'll know what I mean!!
