This one was tough to rate, because there were parts of it I liked a whole lot, and parts I didn't like so much. I liked the story overall, and the parts I liked were some of my favorite things in any story. .. Anyway, it's a desert/harem captive/rescue story, with a history between the hero and heroine, and lots of complications. I liked the complications a lot. The comic relief--not so much. But it's a good story. You should read it. The Pleasure of Your Kiss was very enjoyable. In the beginning of the book, Clarinda Cardew and her best friend, Poppy, are traveling to India for her wedding to Maximillian Burke when their ship is attacked by pirates and the girls are taken captive. Max hires his brother, Ashton Burke, to rescue Clarinda. Ash, who has a past with Clarinda, goes to rescue her, but everything, including the Sultan who rules the harem where her and Poppy are, is not what you would expect. The story is good, and the ending, while happy, did make me cry for little bit.
