As usual Joey Hill just blows me away, I LOVED this book. It is such an enlightening story with a twist. This really should be a continuation of the Knights of the Board Room series. As Dale, the Dom and main character with Athena; is the Dale that helped Max in Willing Sacrifice, the final book in the KOBR series with Janet. Max, Matt and Savannah are mentioned in the book. Athena was a Mistress to her husband, who needed to let go, she did this to make him happy and didn't fully realize her inner submissiveness. There in lies the twist in this story. Dale shows he has the strong and firm hand needed to show Athena her true desires and needs. Dale is outstanding, he is strong, confident and firm yet protective and sensitive. It is a beautiful telling of a second chance of love between two mature partners. V v good. I loved everything about this book. The hero and heroine, their love story, their Dom/sub relationship. It was interesting to read about two middle-aged people who chose not to have children, and it's just a fact. No drama, no angst. Definitely an under-represented demographic in romance novels. I did not enjoy the previous entry in this series. I'm so glad I decided to read this one. Bought from kindle.
