About book Unlit Star (2000)

Reading this was like walking down a long hallway knowing youre going to be strapped down and tortured, and in the end, the knowing in the beginning, doesn't bring any comfort. Books like these, The fault in our stars, Me before you, etc. Serve no purpose. Its like looking at a really depressing image. The tone is tedious; dying girl saves boy. Accepting your inner self over outer image. Moving on from tragedy. Bottom line: heartwrenching, depressing, boring, endless, teenage angst, melodramatic. SNOREDo not recommend! Gosh this book left me with tears!!!Beautifully written. Lots of metaphors and beautiful quotes.Na version of John Green TFIOS meets Robyn Schneider The Beginning of EverythingAlso the way the author describe eating peanut butter and pancakes made me drool!!Delilah was a pleasant character to read. Positive and out of the box and Rivers grew on me as the book progresses as I hated that bastard at the start but he changed for the better as the book progresses.Their relationship made the book for me! From love hate at the to giggly cuteness I devoured the development of their relationship and how much they change trough out the book. One more thing I love bout the book is how it how it deals with high school 'labels' and being yourself. It also deals with more series issues like death and illness.Overall a very bittersweet love story that is heartwarming, optimistic and heartbreaking.
