The prior books of this series are a specific form. This book deviates from that severely in a sort of dream sequence...one that isn't actually a dream. Had there been some warning maybe I would have enjoyed this but it wasn't the style I wanted. I wanted this series to continue in the format the rest of the novels had been in. For me, it was a huge let down as the final book in the series.This doesn't mean the book was bad, it just wasn't what I expected nor wanted. * The beginning of the book was great. It caused this pure "WTF just happened and is this the right book?" -kind of reaction.* Otherwise, bleh. * Considering this was, according to the author, the last book in the series, I am disappointed. The ending sucks.* On the other hand, better to quit at 2,5/3 stars than keep reclining to the rotten depths of LKH.* Nothing really to say about this one either. Im saddened. * 2,5 stars
