É o segundo livro que leio da autora, e apesar de ser uma temática diferente do "A Filha da Minha Melhor Amiga" é igualmente cativante.Durante o livro conhecemos a história de Serena, uma mãe de família amada e que tenta dia após dia esquecer o pesadelo da adolescência e Poppy, uma mulher que passou 20 anos na prisão por um crime que não cometeu.Mal comecei a lê-lo, tenho que admitir que foi complicado deixa-lo, até mesmo para dormir. O meu único pensamento era saber "Mas afinal quem matou o Marcus?", não por querer que lhe fosse feita justiça porque ele não a merecia, simplesmente para saber quem realmente lhe tinha dito o derradeiro "BASTA". Really enjoyed this book - couldn't put it down. Never at any point did I lose interest and became involved right from the first page. So many twists and turns but written in such a way that the reader doesn't lose the thread. Also had a very good ending - didn't see that coming at all.Have to say that the story also brings to the fore some of the issues surrounding Domestic Violence which I think will stay in the mind of the reader long after finishing the book.
It dragged on too long and had a predictable ending. I liked "The Woman He Loved Before" much more.
