I have read quite a few of Dorothy Koomsons books as I had become addicted to her style and entertaining style. However, this did not match the usual standard.I almost found it disappointing, especially at the end.Without giving too much away, considering the main character is undergoing a very trying time and is emotionally consumed by various ongoing trials, I found the ending not in keeping with someone in those circumstances and felt it quite unbelievable. I love Dorothy Koomson. So much so that I buy her books without reading the blurb because she wrote them so they will be wonderful. This book disappointed me. The characters where all blah, making things more difficult for themselves for no particular reason. The outcome of the huge dilemma in the book seemed anti climatic and a sort of 'fix all' cop out. And the actions were not that of a mother, it just seemed a little far fetched. Maybe I am being too harsh, this is a passable book it is just not a Koomson. X
I have enjoyed all of Dorothy's books and this, her ninth, is probably her best yet.

For me this was not one of her best. A good story and an ok read.
