About book Turn It Up (2011)

Friends to Lovers is one of my favorite romance tropes and this one did not disappoint. This was the first book I’ve read by Inez Kelley but it certainly won’t be the last. The story of heroine, Charlie, and Hero, Bastian’s journey from best friends to lovers was beautifully told. Usually if a book can make me feel enough to get me laughing and/or crying, then, in my opinion, it’s a great book. Turn It Up did that for me in spades. The hotness factor in this book was up there, too, WOW. LOLIf you like the Friends to Lovers trope and a hot, sexy, funny and touching story you will like this book.I was given a copy of this book from the author but no review was required. I will say that I was definitely a HUGE Bastian fan. He was attractive and a doctor..yummy! He was willing to do whatever it took to get Charlie to say yes and everything he had planned for her party was very sweet. It's not often you read about a male character who wants to wait until an engagement or wedding to have sex and a female character pressuring the male to have sex. It was an interesting dynamic. I felt like it was a little ridiculous for Charlie to think that Bastian only wanted her for sex. They had been friends for years, so if that was all he wanted, wouldn't he have already tried to sleep with her? I enjoyed their dialogue when they were on the radio and thought it was a fun addition. Turn It Up wasn't a horrible book, but it didn't completely engage me and I couldn't connect with Charlie at all.

Do You like book Turn It Up (2011)?

Loved Charlie and Bastian. The radio banter was hilarious and the sexual tension was off the hook.
