Tanna Barker has been having some problems. Her mom dies, the home she knew as a child is sold, and she has been injured in a horrible rodeo incident. She is truly down as she was a world famous barrel champion, but not now. She meets August Fletcher, a vet for large farm animals that involves working all hours. He and Tanna spend one night together. Will they get back together for a relationship that is more than a one night stand? I loved the characters in this story. The story line is excellent. It's actually a fun story to read. I won a copy of this book from Good Reads. I hate to be the one to say this, but it was really just ok. First time I am reading one of Lorelei James books, and I think I expected more. I enjoy getting attached to the characters I read, to know what they are thinking and feeling. This was a "wam-bam-thank-you-ma'am" I didn't connect with either of the two characters. Not even at the end of the book when I was done. The story was also ok, i expected more of a plot and more drama. Sorry Lorelei.
