Okay, technically, I didn't actually finish this book. I started it twice. TWICE. I've read all the others in the series. And really, I liked them. But these last couple have become so unbelievable that I just can't go any farther. (which is a shame because I actually bought the next three in the series from Costco) I just can't go on. The antics she's in are so unbelievable for me, I can't buy in anymore. I've tried. I really have. (especially since I OWN the books) but I will be taking the whole stack and giving them to someone who might enjoy them more. For me. I'm out. Sadie Hoffmiller strikes again. I really just want to be DONE with this series. That's why I keep on reading. This book was pretty good. Had me jumpy enough my kids were laughing at me. Recipes are mouthwatering. Made me want to go to New Mexico to the hot air balloon festival for sure.There were many sides of Sadie in this book that were new. It was almost too much. Plus, I'm not a big fan of her for some reason. She strikes me as irresponsible, nosey and immature. She's 57 years old! It's almost comical the situations she gets herself into and how she gets out of them. She's like a 57 year old lady MacGeyver almost. I don't know. And yet I can't stop reading. It's a curse. I need closure on where this relationship with Pete is going, I guess. Which, if I was him, I would drop Sadie like a HOT potato. Seriously. She is nothin' but trouble. Wow. OK, that being said, I do have the next book in the series in hand. Sigh. It's just for the recipes, I swear.
