I give it three and a half stars. (Why doesn't goodreads let us give half stars?)A work of epic refined literature this ain't, but it was a zany and fun read all the same.Sure I could have done without a few of those kinda crude "Middle School" jokes, and they sorta stereotyped a few of the main characters. As in, the less physically fit person is the super genius, and the attractive buff dude is basically a little dense. A few of the jokes seem like they could hurt a kid's feelings if they fit into one of those descriptions, so I think they would have been better off without some of the humor. But besides that it was a fast paced and goofy read that kept me pretty much involved right down to the end. Even if they were kinda stereotyped, all the main characters seemed to rise above the role they were given and found a way to stand out. In the end you could tell the characters really do care for each other, and that added a nice feel to the whole thing. I can see how kids that aren't big on reading would love this, and as a fun casual read I would pick up the next in the series. All in all, I rated it as high as I did because I simply enjoyed it. Treasure Hunters by James Patterson is an action, thriller novel about four teenagers who get lost at sea. When a their parents get lost , and is no where to be found, the kidd family has to go and find them. They find out that their parents are working for the C.I.A and have been captured by an evil villain named Aramis who wanted to steal all of the kidd family’s treasure they found. The teenagers must stop the evil villain and save their parent, and their company. There are several things I like about this book. The story is very straightforward and not very complicated. this book is exciting and has action on almost every single page. For example, the novel begins in middle of a storm out on the seas with the main characters on the brink of death. However, the book has a lot of stops and starts. For example, the story strays from the main problem in the book and goes on to talk about them going to get cheese burgers. Despite the lack of staying on the main problem , I would highly recommend Treasure Hunters . The action kept me turning the page and I think anyone who likes to read about treasure hunting or adventure will also appreciate it. I did so i know you will. i am definitely getting the next book.
