I am glad I got to read this book before Beautiful Struggle and not after. It really helped me understand that relationship between David and Katrina. And from the very beginning I felt the love David had for Katrina and her love for him, they were just blind to it….. I think this in between novels really complemented A Beautiful Struggle. I loved this book and fell in love with David and Katrina. I haven't read any of Ms. Anderson's books before, but I will after this one!This is a story about the beginning friendship of Katrina and David from the Beautiful Struggle. This is their before story... "Katrina and David's friendship was a bond that couldn't be broken."They had been friends since grade school. This is from David's point of view. I seriously just want to hug David. Oh my goodness. Poor guy living with what he did. And still was able to show so much love for Katrina then. I can't wait to read Beautiful Struggle!!
