About book Tony Chu, Détective Cannibal Tome 4 : Flambé (2013)
As always, I can't get enough of Chew. These guys do a fantastic job of finishing a small arc of the story in the 5 issues per volume, yet always ending with a cliffhanger to be resolved in the next one, beautifully adding to the more-and-more complex story. It's hard to put down as I can't wait to see how it comes together in each subsequent issue! And, I love all the tidbits in the background (hilarious signage, and the magazines characters are reading, etc.) This series just keeps getting better and better. In this volume, after a mysterious alien language suddenly appears in the sky, everyone starts panicking and believes that an alien invasion is about to occur. So, it is up to Tony and Colby to find out about this supposed alien conspiracy and what it means for Earth. We also get hints that Olive and Toni have special foodie powers too.Also there is a Fringe reference and I almost died from my geek out!
